Arab-Andalusian Music dates back to the back to the Middle Ages, before Muslims and Jews were expelled from Spain by Ferdinand and Isabella. The melodies used today are part of only a handful that still survive, but the entire Maghreb is very proud of this classical tradition. In this clip from a film by Izza Genini the orchestra of Abdesadek Chekara performs in traditional Moroccan setting.
